Torres Strait Islander descendant and President of Women in Agriculture on The Voice to Parliament

In making a decision on how to vote for The Voice to Parliament, it is important to make an informed decision.

This means that the right research and investigation is needed when addressing The Voice to be fully informed on what you are choosing to change for our country.

Natalie Sommerville is a Torres Strait Islander descendant and is the President of the Women in Agriculture Association which means that she has a variety of perspectives on why she wants to see The Voice go ahead.

Natalie expressed that research is vital and a responsibility of people when coming to a voting decision.

Being a First Nations woman as well as a prominent figure in the regional community, Somerville informed her decision to vote Yes for the Voice with what she wanted to see happen for her community. And that is changing.

Natalie researched and had real on the ground conversations with people from her community on what they wanted to see happen, and most answers were totally different making it even harder to decide.

She does know one thing, and that is that The Voice will provide change and ‘is something we need to do to move forward as a country’.

In advocating for The Voice for herself and her community, Natalie acknowledges that it is a hard decision and that fully understanding how the Government works and that having a Voice to advocate on concerns is really important.
